Today we were back in routine, putting things away and back together again. We really oughta' get to practicin' 'cause we don't have the money to waste anymore. Like we really did before. Ha! Ha!!!

October 3, 1981

We played for Heaven' Own [Aschaffenburg's Motorcycle Club] today at Nilkheimer Park. It was a gig that was very exciting and that the people enjoyed very much. I am very kuput, I can't even think.

October 2, 1981

Another shorty [practice], but a nice one. Gotta' 'nother gig comin' up. [I am such a dork, writing in the Rock 'n Roll lingo.]

October 1, 1981

A very short practice. We played our new song, "Baby Blue." It's different form our other material, but it's good. [I wonder if we made any recordings of this? It could have been on Stampede's second album, but alas, a second album never happened.]

I would like to make today the last day of rest. Tomorrow should be the first of day work for me, for the upcoming year. Gotta' get it right.

Still no practice, everybody had their own thing to do. I put my bass equipment together, thats about all.

No work except unloadin' the van into the studio.

September 27, 1981

Today was our anniversary gig at the Heyland's (Schwind) [Brewery Guesthouse in Aschaffenburg] It was 14 days too early though. Good gig even though I was missin' something. I don't know exactly, it was the same feelin' [of excitement, energy?] I had during the first gig. The people [audience] went crazy just like the other time. [Apparently I was expecting two gigs to be the same. That's weird thinking to me now. I think that I subconsciously knew that things would be coming to an end soon and I didn't want things to change.]

September 26, 1981

Practice was very good. If we stop now, then we'll never reach the point of almost exact playin'. I just we don't work in Rolf's Apartment tonight. [Ok, that last sentence hardly made sense, maybe I had a little to much Weizenbier that night, who knows. I did have a job of cleaning a couple's apartment a couple of times a week. What was also cool was that they had a grand piano and so I began to practice piano a little.]

September 25, 1981

Once again another good practice. Seems we're on the right track at least it fells that way. We'll see what happens. [I'm pretty skeptical and frustrated a lot, all I wanted to do was practice, write songs, and play gigs. I couldn't get enough of it. It seemed overly complicated to me why we just couldn't just do that everyday.]

Good practice today, I was able to hear good things and bad things. With more practice were gonna put this thing in the bag. We need Gigs, we need good gigs.
